Worm's Sci-Fi Haven is the brainchild of one Man: the Worm himself. As an active member of other science fiction forums, he developed a great desire to create his own site based upon his own ideas of what a forum should be. Soon, the construction began.
He elicited the support and assistance of the many virtual friends he had made during his online experience and they were happy to help and, in fact quite enthusiastic. Those people make up the core staff at "Haven," as the regulars call it. But the lion's Share of the site development and maintenance is still the product of their fearless leader's fevered brow.
What is the "Haven" about? What sets it apart from other forums? In simple terms: respect. This is a place for serious, intelligent and above all respectful repartee. Members know that they can come to Haven to express themselves freely without the risk of ridicule or other cruel, thoughtless behavior. There is no flaming allowed and those that revel in such behavior will soon find their welcome waning. Members may dispute another's opinions as much as their hearts desire but they may not belittle the opinion maker.
Except for those areas specifically set aside for frivolity and fun (and they do exist!) postings must be credible and well thought out. One might think that these rules would limit membership but many people are drawn to Haven because of it. The ages of the folks at "the Haven" run the gamut from early teens to mid-fifties!
Worm's Sci-Fi Haven is a friendly place to visit with much to offer to the serious Science Fiction aficionado. Of those who stop by to visit, many stay on and join the stimulating conversations that abound on this thought-provoking site. Profile written by the Haven staff
