The Templeton Gate

FOUNDER: ecgordon

MAIN PAGE: Templetongate.com

MESSAGE BOARD: p081.ezboard.com/bthetempletongateforums

FOUNDED IN: June 2000

MAIN INTERESTS: Speculative Fiction authors, books, film, television; author profiles and reviews

Like the trans-spatial portal of Heinlein's Tunnel in the Sky for which it is named, the Templeton Gate website operates as a conduit for SF fans on the internet. Says founder ecgordon: "I felt it was an apt reference for a site which was created to transport readers to the many worlds of SF." Indeed, Templeton Gate has been a labor of love for long-time SF reader, ecgordon, and his son - who not only contributes reviews to the site, but also serves as graphic designer, and promises a new cutting-edge redesign soon. The main site of Templeton Gate is a rich repository of author profiles and reviews of books, film and more.

Though various, Templeton Gate reviewers share a common love for SF, from contemporary favorites - such as Joss Whedon's Serenity - to thought-provoking classics - ecgordon names Robert Heinlein his personal favorite author, devoting special attention to his work on the site. The message forums of Templeton Gate are built around the same SF ethic as the main site, attracting fans from around the world to discuss Templeton Gate reviews, profiles and articles, as well as individual SF favorites. The Templeton Gate forum community is a hospitable and insightful home on the web for any SF fan looking for common literary sensibilities.
