Like the shelves of your favorite local book shop, message board community It's a Must Read has a spot for every one of your favorite reads. In addition to forums for all book lovers to share in discussion, there are "bookshelf" forums for each standard genre, including Fantasy, Science Fiction, Mysteries and Suspense, Horror, Classics, Romance, Poetry, Teens and Childrens, Other Fiction, Spiritual, Family Life, Biographies, and Other Non-Fiction. Regulars at It's a Must Read share a special affinity for Harry Potter, which has its very own forum for discussion.
Many members also share in the "group reads" selected quarterly by the regulars and keep online logs of books as they read so to share their reading lists other Must Readers. There are also forums for general chat and media discussion, including movies, news, computers and more. It's a Must Read is a friendly and welcoming board, where posters of all ages can feel at home. Founder Alicia GA describes the climate she strives to create: "I try to keep the board such that if a 16 year-old is posting, and her mother looked over her shoulder, there'd be no meltdown." It's a Must Read is also a safe place to talk about books, with spoilers clearly marked. Book discussion is also easy-going - members are welcomed back every day, week, month... Some members even stop by from years ago. The It's a Must Read message board community also welcomes members from all over the world, including regulars from the US, Canada, Australia, Austria, England, Italy, India, and the Netherlands.
