As the name will tell you, Bestsellers & Literature is message board community for booklovers. But don't let the name fool you into thinking Bestsellers is just another book board. Originally "Bestsellers in Fiction", the board has since expanded to cover more than just the page-turning, chart-toppers that inspired founder Saundra Kane to create the board in the first place. Bestsellers is an online community dedicated ultimately to its members, both newcomers and old friends. As the community grows, the interests and initiative of its members continue to shape it.
It all started with founder Saundra and what she calls her "serious book addiction" - but don't let her title of "boss lady" fool you. She's a kind and interactive webmaster with a welcoming word for any new member and a willingness to let regulars take a leadership role. Board Moderator, Sudsy, pitches in to oversee operations at Bestsellers and to serve as director of forums for games, trivia and general chat. Visitors will find Magusachan at the helm of the Book Discussion forum, lending her booklover's expertise to organizing and leading the Book of the Month discussions. Librarylover, a long time reader and Bestsellers member, has recently taken over the Nonfiction Discussion forum, bringing it an upsurge of activity. Saundra calls moderator Queen of the Abyss "the miracle worker" for having "breathed new life into our dying Horror forum and made it a destination by itself."
Bestsellers wouldn't be complete without every booklover's fantasy - after all, the bookstore of your dreams needs a place to kick back and chat with fellow readers. The Bistro is a destination forum for all the regulars where members can talk about any topic on their minds, making Bestsellers a community, not just of fellow booklovers, but also of friends.
